Do we need to schedule a tour?
No, but you do need to pick up free tickets in the morning for your timed entry between the months of March and December. Arrive early and head to Independence Hall and the morning of your visit to reserve your tickets.
How long should we expect to spend visiting the park?
Allow a minimum of two full hours if you are arriving first thing in the morning; if you arrive mid-day, expect to wait for several hours to be able to enter Independence Hall. Out of all the Philadelphia historic sites, this is the most popular.
